Chelsea should make a transfer move for Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter this summer window.

Frank Lampard is a man that knows that this  side need to be improved in key areas of the pitch over the next few months as he turns this side from champions League chasers to Premier League contenders.

And Sky Germany recently reported that we are now interested in trying to secure a deal for German defender Ginter, who has developed into one of the most solid defenders in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons.

He is currently valued at around the £35-40 million mark, a fee that we should be able to afford if they do make a move, and although Monchengladbach do not want to let him leave, reports have claimed that they would be willing to let him go id the price is right.

“As a coach, you know what to expect from him,” national manager Joachim Low recently said about the young man

“He’s dependable and he’s able to do what we want him to do, which is to help build the play up from the back.

“He’s improved defensively too. He has a certain calmness about him, which is what makes him so solid, reliable and dependable.”

Look we do need to improve this back-line in the summer and if Ginter is the man that will help solve our issues, then so be it.

He would not cost alot of money to sign in the summer and has proven himself to be a very solid player in the Bundesliga and for the national side, and having seen him play on a number of occasions, we believe he could handle the Premier League.
