Chelsea sent shock message about powerhouse summer signing!
William Gallas has poured doubt over new CHELSEA signing Axel Disasi, saying he is not ready to play at the top level.
Axel Disasi completed his £38million move from AS Monaco to Stamford Bridge on Friday morning after the club made the big decision to splash some cash and bring him to the Premier League
The centre-back has arrived at Stamford Bridge amid the news that Wesley Fofana is set for a long spell on the sidelines due to an ACL injury, and the continued speculation that Trevor Chalobah could be leaving the club.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Gallas cannot see why the club spent big on Disasi, partly because they already have enough centre-backs, but chiefly because he does not think he is good enough.
‘I’ve seen him play for Monaco and, for me, I don’t know why Chelsea signed another defender. I think they have too many – it looks like they have too many, so why sign another one?’ Gallas told Gambling Zone.
‘Disasi is a very physical player. He is very strong. In the Premier League you need to have more about you than just being a physical player – being strong is not enough, especially when you play for a big club like CHELSEA . You need to have more quality and, I don’t think he is a player that will suit Chelsea.
‘I don’t think it was a good idea to sign him because I don’t think he is ready to play at the top level yet.’
WILL DISASI BE A GOOD SIGNING?
The man has all the physical attributes to be one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League and a man that is able to compete against the very best strikers.
We believe he will be a good signing.
