Chelsea sent message about signing Premier League star for £65M

Chelsea have been advised not to make a move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer.
Guehi has impressed for England at Euro 2024 and could be on the move in the coming weeks as a result of his performances as all the big clubs have been linked with a stunning £65 million move.
We have been very active in the transfer market already this summer and have been linked with a move for Marc Guehi in recent weeks – especially as they are still seeking to improve that back-line before the start of the new season next month.
Of the view the club should not enter the running, however, ex-CHELSEA full-back Wayne Bridge told Betfred: “He’s a great player, but I’m not sure. Chelsea already have a number of centre-backs and I think if they’re going to buy another central defender, then it needs to be guaranteed that they’re the main one.
“I don’t know if Guéhi is going to be that one. You don’t need anymore centre-backs as squad players, you need that one player that’s going to be their rock at the back like Thiago Silva was for them.
‘He was a leader for CHELSEA and they need somebody that’s going to be the backbone of the team. I’m not so sure about that move.”
