Michael Owen has offered his verdict on Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United amid transfer reports in the media this week that he is all set to make the move to CHELSEA in a shock deal.

Sancho has fallen out of favour at United after a public spat with manager Erik ten Hag, who remained in charge after winning the FA Cup, and the winger spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund and played in the Champions League final.

According to reports in Italy, Manchester United have been offering the England international out and are looking to make a profit, and a number of clubs have been offered the chance to sign the 24-year-old, including us .

And it also been claimed that Raheem Sterling would be going the other way – as he is seemingly done at Stamford Brdge. And amid all the speculation and rumours, Owen has given his verdict on a possible deal for the attacker.

“Jadon Sancho took a really risky move in many ways but almost an unavoidable one in going back to where he was to try to reignite that spark, and he’s done particularly well,” he told Prime Casino.

“I’m sure he probably would have preferred there to have been a change of manager at Old Trafford so it was a clean slate and he could come back and hopefully start again.

“I don’t know what his future holds, but he’s certainly gone away and proven that he can still cut it at the top level.”
