Sarri announces he wants signs Spurs midfielder Eriksen over Hitman Kane for Chelsea

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has told Tottenham that he would prefer to sign Christian Eriksen, rather than star man Harry Kane.

Kane is now fully regarded as one of the best strikers on the planet after developing into a deadly assassin in front of goal and has been on the radar of the club over the last few seasons, but another player linked with a possible move to Stamford Bridge is that of Eriksen, who is the clubs playmaker and arguably one of Mauricio Pochettino’s starting line-up.

However, there has been some talk over the last few weeks that he could be departing Spurs in the coming transfer windows, with speculation increasing that Spurs are not prepared to give him the kind of contract offer that he wants.

And amid the speculation we are keen on a deal, Sarri has admitted that he would prefer the signing of Eriksen over a deal for Kane, telling the Metro website: ‘Of course Harry Kane is the best English striker in the moment, so a very important player, but if I have to say another name, I like very much Eriksen.

‘Why? Because he is a very smart player, a very technical player. He’s able to play in midfield and, at the same moment, score eight or nine goals in a season.

‘I think that he is a very important player.

‘I like him very much, but I don’t want to talk about a player of Tottenham for the market, of course. I only answered a [hypothetical] question.’

Eriksen over Kane, Really?

Eriksen is a decent player that has good numbers for Spurs, but he is useless when it comes to matches that really matter and he has proven on a number of occasions that he is just an average midfielder playing in a decent side.

Kane is the man everyone wants and if we signed him he would get 40-50 goals a season, and that is why I would sign Kane over Eriksen any day.
