Chelsea told how £100 million transfer target Sancho is handling the transfer pressure
Borussia Dortmund star Thomas Delaney believes Jadon Sancho is starting to feel the ‘pressure’ caused by constant speculation linking him with the likes of Chelsea
Reports have suggested that we are ready to pay big money to try and complete a transfer deal, as we are looking to freshen up their squads when the transfer window officially opens up.
But despite admitted that Sancho is one of the best talents in the game, Delaney has come out and revealed that the young attacker is starting to feel the pressure of all this transfer speculation.
Asked about his team-mate following Dortmund’s defeat to Bayern Munich, Delaney told ESPN: ‘He’s clearly, one of the biggest talents that I’ve played with.
‘With that talent comes a lot of pressure and I think he slowly starts to feel that from the England national team and clubs surrounding him now.
‘Up until this point he’s been a talent performing very well, performing better than what he is expected to do but there was always going to be a next step and that’s going to be interesting. Next step in his career and his development.
‘I don’t see, as a player, any technical or physical limits for him. He could get up there but the question will be in his head, the effort he puts in and, of course, luck, injuries and stuff.
‘But, only looking at his skills, he definitely has what it takes to become one of the five biggest players in the world. ‘You see big talents go to waste and I would say that he’s already done enough to prove himself.
‘He’s 19 [sic] and he’s got the most goal involvement in the league together with Timo Werner and Robert Lewandowski which is amazing but he should strive for more.’[the_ad id=”164″]
