Brazil legend Rivaldo reckons Chelsea is the ideal place for Philippe Coutinho to kickstart his career.

There has been so much speculation regarding the club over the past few weeks that many of us have started to forget just who is linked with a move to the Bridge, but one player that is in the headlines alot is that of Coutinho.

Coutinho is returning to Barcelona from his two-year spell at Bayern Munich in the summer, but the Spaniards reportedly dont want him back at the club and are seemingly keen to offload him to the Bridge in the summer, with recent reports suggesting that they have already offered him to the Blues.

Now, amid all the transfer speculation, Brazilian legend Rivaldo has claimed that wecould be the ideal move for Coutinho to make in order to reignite his career, Rivaldo told Betfair: “I believe that this chance Philippe Coutinho now has of continuing his career at Chelsea could be a good option.

“He will move to a big club and to a country and competition he knows well where he had his best years so far, so if that transfer really happens, I’m sure he will have a good chance of seeing things improve for him in the future.

“After all, he has already shined on the Premier League before.

“He is still a regular in the Brazilian national team and just hasn’t been lucky enough at Barcelona or Bayern, but perhaps that could change with a new club and I believe this would be a nice opportunity for him to get back to his best football at Chelsea.”
