Chelsea release statement confirming defender has made summer move!
CHELSEA have confirmed that defender Bashir Humphreys has joined Burnley on a season-long loan with the option to make the switch a more permanent on eat the end of the season.
The academy graduate was left off the club’s pre-season tour which hinted he was due to a departure ahead of the upcoming campaign.
His switch has now been confirmed with the Clarets taking on his services for the new season and beyond as the deal includes a buy-obligation in the region of £14million
The Blues posted on the club website: ‘Bashir, a graduate from our Academy having joined in 2017, has played twice for our senior team, making his Blues debut in an FA Cup third round tie away to Manchester City in January 2023.
‘He has also represented England up to the Under-21 age group and was part of the squad that won the Under-19 Euros title in 2022.
‘Bashir spent most of last season on loan at Swansea City and now returns to the Championship to join Scott Parker’s Clarets, who sit top of the table having won their first two league fixtures.

The lad is a talent and this is a move that he will enjoy as he will get the minutes and game time that needs to help his development over the next 12 months – and you never know he could get that permanent move.
This is a great move for the lad to make that s for sure.
