Chelsea release statement announcing £350k-a-week stars move
Romelu Lukaku has left CHELSEA and completed a permanent move to Napoli for a reported £25 million this summer – as the big Belgian star finally ended his nightmare association with the Premier League giants.
Lukaku returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2021 in a £97.5million deal, which was a club-record signing for the club at the time – but he’s failed to live up to the hefty price tag having scored just 15 goals in his second spell at the club.
He gave a bombshell interview with Italian media where he revealed his regret at leaving Inter Milan to join Chelsea and has had loan spells at Inter and Roma since
Now The Belgian striker has finally left Stamford Bridge in a £25million move and has signed a three-year contract in Naples after being told he was not part of the clubs plans this season, he has left the club permanently and headed back to Serie A to work with Antonio Conte again
CHELSEA posted on the club website: ‘The Belgium international, who joined Chelsea in the summer of 2021, has spent the previous two campaigns on loan in Serie A at Inter Milan and Roma.
‘Lukaku will now reunite with former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte in Naples on a permanent basis’
