Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed…

Enzo Maresca has dropped the biggest hint that he is not looking to add another striker to the CHELSEA attack in the January window.

Jackson has already scored seven goals and has three assists in just 13 games in the Premier League this season, a record which puts him joint fifth in the charts, alongside Cole Palmer, Yoane Wissa and Matheus Cunha.

However – there has been alot of transfer speculation in the media which has suggested that we will be looking to sign a new striker in the January window, as the club would like to add another forward to that attack.

But after impressing during the opening weeks of the season, Maresca has dropped the biggest hint that a new striker will not need to be signed in the coming transfer window as he is very happy with Jackson and his performances: ‘He is doing very well with us,’ Maresca said.

‘Since we started, he has been open minded in what we ask him, and sometimes we require different things from him.

‘He’s has an open mind and wants to learn and he’s doing very well, not just in goals and assists, but also the way he works off the ball. The way he presses, he is always aggressive and we are very happy.

He added: ‘He is already good – good enough for us – but like all players, there are many things he can do better,’

‘For sure, this season he’s had one-v-one chances he has missed – that can happen – but he can improve that area. He can be a bit more brave on the ball when we need to link with him but overall there are many areas he’s already improved a lot.’

I really like Jackson and he has been impressive this season, but i just doubt that he can score 30 goals a season

CHELSEA READY TO SIGN GITTENS

Borussia Dortmund youngster Jamie Gittens appears to be one attacker whom CHELSEA are currently looking at, but they will have to pay some serious money if they wish to get a transfer deal done for the starlet

It is no secret that we have been trying to sign some of the very best talents in the game over the past few transfer windows and have brought in some quality players that have made an impact this season.

Per Sky in Germany, scouts from Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been attending Dortmund games regularly to watch Gittens.

Getting him out of Signal Iduna Park, though, will not be easy, with the same outlet claiming that Dortmund have slapped a whopping €100m (£83.4m) price tag on the 20-year-old’s head.

However, amid the speculation, reporter Iomie Stanley has claimed that it is not the right time for the lad to leave Dortmund, he recently said: ‘Gittens is showing the kind of potential that will take him far in the game, he is a real star of the future.

‘However, despite the fact the Premier League is the dream destination for alot of young stars, despite the fact he would get a massive wage from coming to England and despite the fact he could join one of the big boys, he is not ready.’

‘We have seen so many young talents come to the Premier League in recent seasons and get forgotten about, alot of those stars have signed for CHELSEA, so right now the lad should stay put.

KELLEHER MESSAGE SENT

Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has been told ‘it’s time’ to think about leaving Anfield and that joining CHELSEA would be a superb ‘opportunity’ for both parties, as the Blues are in need of adding a quality stopper to that squad.

Liverpool are reluctant to sell Kelleher to a direct rival but would still likely accept an offer in the region of £35million, but the stopper has made no secret of his desire to be the first-choice goalkeeper somewhere after spending the past five and a half seasons as a back-up option behind Alisson Becker.

It is no secret that the club are looking at adding a new stopper to the side in the upcoming transfer window, and the likelihood is that Alisson will come straight back in, leaving Kelleher in a position that he has previously complained about and suggested would force his hand in the pursuit of regular first-team football.

As a result, ex-England striker Darren Bent believes we should swoop for Kelleher and also reckons it would be a good outcome for the player: ‘I always look at [Emiliano] Martinez,’ Bent told talkSPORT, comparing Kelleher to the World Cup winner who swapped Arsenal for Aston Villa back in 2020.

‘He was at Arsenal for like ten years and finally got an opportunity at the end, done incredibly well, won the FA Cup, was brilliant.

‘[Bernd] Leno comes back [from injury], they sell him. Then obviously he [Martinez] leaves, the rest is history, wins the World Cup, is at a fantastic club in Aston Villa.

‘I think Kelleher is a very good goalkeeper. He’s 25, it’s time now, let’s get going now, do you know what I mean? I think there’s an opportunity there [at CHELSEA].

‘I’m not convinced on [Robert] Sanchez if I’m honest, he makes some unbelievable saves… But I think him [Kelleher] going in there, [for] £35m, that’s not even a risk I don’t think.’
