Chelsea are reportedly willing to sell French midfielder Ngolo Kante – according to journalist Simon Phillips.

Now we all know that Kante is one of the best holding midfielders in the world and has been brilliant for Chelsea ever since you moved from Leicester City a few years ago.

His contract with the Blues runs out at the end of the season and there has been alot of speculation about his current situation at Stamford Bridge – and there has been a number of links with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain

Chelsea do not want to lose him – that has been claimed in the media on many occasions and They have offered him a contract worth about £290,000 a week. But according to reports he had rejected the terms as the length of the contract is not what he desires, and he is currently considering his future at the club.

Add that to the rumours that the club are keen to make a move for Declan Rice from West Ham at the end of season or even in the January transfer window and Philips has claimed that we are now willing to let Kante leave the club over the next couple of transfer windows.

Phillips has informed GiveMeSport that the decision makers at the west London outfit are having to contemplate multiple factors in the negotiations.

He said: “Chelsea, I think, at the moment are seriously considering that injury history and the more recent evidence of him being very injury prone. So, it’s a situation there that needs to be sorted out.”

Now look Kante is 31 years of age is not getting any younger, but he is still a brilliant defensive midfielder and losing him would be a massive blow to Graham Potter unless he has an adequate replacement already lined up for Chelsea.

There will be tempting offers from the likes PSG – Man United – Real Madrid – Barcelona and many other clubs from across Europe and the world – so it would not be a shock to see him Leave the club.

However – unless Chelsea have an adequate replacement – unless Graham Potter doesn’t believe he is part of the success that the club will surely have over the next few Seasons then yeah, let him leave otherwise give him a contract and let him stay for the next few seasons – because at the end of day, He does that job in front of the back-line better than most younger players in the game right now
