Chelsea ready to get shock January deal done for £52 million fee
Christopher Nkunku is reportedly unhappy at CHELSEA and the Blues have now named their price for the forward as Manchester United ponder upon a move ahead of the opening of the January window in just a few months time.
Nicolas Jackson has been criticised for his wayward finishing since his move to Stamford Bridge, but is seemingly the player that Enzo Maresca believes will be the club long-term number one striker, and has been given more opportunities to shine under the Italian.
That has led to alot of speculation in the media that Nkunku may look for a move away from the club, with PSG just one club that are reportedly very interested in getting some kind of transfer deal done for the player, but it seems he will not be leaving yet.
Manchester United have reportedly shown an interest in getting the player all signed up when the transfer window opens up, and now, As per The Telegraph, the club aren’t fully opposed to letting Nkunku leave in January as long as they can recoup the full £52 million ($66.9m) that they paid to sign the Frenchman last summer despite the two parties still having a contract until the summer of 2029.
Glenn Hoddle recently questioned if Christopher Nkunku wants to stay at Stamfprd Bridge– he said of Nkunku: ‘The injuries are obviously there, he knows he’s not quite at his sharpest yet.
‘When I look at Chelsea’s forwards, I think Nkunku would be more clinical than Nicolas Jackson if he had the same time on the pitch and had his chances so far this season.
‘Jackson is obviously improving and getting more confident, he has the manager’s faith and backing right now.
‘Whether Nkunku is going to be happy… he might be one that will think he needs to leave come January if this is still happening.’
