Chelsea close in on Piatek deal as striker announces ‘i want to play in Champions League’
Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Europes biggest clubs, including chasing Chelsea.
The 23-year old striker has become one of the most sought after forwards in Europe after taking Serie A by storm, having already netted an impressive nine goals in his opening 11 games for the Italian club.
And with the likes of Alvaro Morata, Oliver Giroud and Pedro all lacking in goals this season, boss Maurizio Sarri has been keeping a close eye on his development at Genoa as he plans a bargain £35 million move this coming January, with the Polish striker showing all the attributes the Italian boss likes in a forward.[the_ad id=”238″]
Now Piatek has admitted that he has a dream to play for a big club and play in the Champions League, alerting us, and a number of clubs around Europe to a possible transfer deal.
“The dream of those who come to Genoa is that they use it as a stepping stone towards a big club,” Piatek said in quotes attributed to Italian outlet Corriere della Sera.
“If I continue this way, I could sign for a big club. My objective is to play in the Champions League.”
Could Piatek be a good buy for Chelsea?
With nine goals already this season and all the attributes to be the ideal target man for us, Piatek could be a world class buy by Sarri if he manages to beat off the likes of Juventus, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Barcelona for his signature.
The young man is only 23-years of age and although he does have a lot of developing to do, for the £35 million that he is currently going for, that is an absolute bargain considering our other targets Mauro Icardi, Gonzalo Higuaín and Harry Kane will cost twice, even three times as much.[the_ad id=”238″]
