The likes of CHELSEA have been informed that Man City are keen to offload Kalvin Phillips this transfer window,

At Leeds – Phillips established himself as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League – and that prompted Man City boss Pep Guardiola to take him to the Etihad.

However – the move has not quite worked out and he has struggled to make an impact -with a number of injuries keeping him on the sidelines more often that he would have hoped for.

And all the chasing clubs have been boosted, if you believe the words of Sky Sports’ Mark McAdam, as he has claimed that Man City are keen to let Phillips depart the club this transfer window.

He was quoted on Sky Sports: “Kalvin Phillips is certainly going to be a name we will mention a lot this month. He joined Manchester City for £42m plus some extras.

“City will say the deal hasn’t worked out as he’s only played nine times this season in all competitions.

“Phillips will say he’s won five trophies since he’s been at City but the lack of game time is a problem. We know a number of clubs are interested in the midfielder and it will be a case of structuring a deal that works for everyone.

“City would love to sell him permanently, however they’re not going to get anywhere near the £42m they’ve invested in him.”
