Wise opens up on propsed Lampard return and defender tells Chelsea he wants to be at club this summer
Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri has told the club that he has no desire to leave, amid Juventus speculation.
He has not been an integral figure in the starting line-up during his time at the club, with most of his performances coming in the Europa League and Domestic Cup competitions and that has led to speculation in the media which suggested that he is thought to be open to a move back to Italy.
However, the 24-year-old has played down talks of a transfer this summer, insisting it is not an issue currently on his mind.
[the_ad id=”164″]Emerson said on the TalkSport website: “I’m happy at Chelsea, we won the Europa League and I am calm.
“I haven’t received any calls, I am happy here. There is nothing to say, I am focused on Chelsea.”
Meanwhile,Dennis Wise has urged Frank Lampard to snub a move back to the Blues and stay at Derby.
Sarri never felt comfortable living and working in England and has been tempted back to his homeland with a move to Juventus, who has decided to part ways with boss Max Allegri, despite the Italian boss bringing back another Seria A title.
But his departure from the club opened the door for us to seal a deal for Lampard, who has been impressing at Derby this season.
But Wise argues it’s too soon for his former team-mate to take such a huge step.
He told Sky Sports: “Is it too soon for him? I think it is. I look at the staff he may bring in as well. Jody may come alongside him and he’s a bit inexperienced in a coaching capacity.
“If Frank does come in, he probably needs to bring someone with a bit of experience. There probably will be some changes, because he’ll want to bring his own staff in.
“Frank, from a playing and personal point of view, everyone loves him at Chelsea, but he hasn’t been long in coaching, and neither has Jody. It worries me a little bit, but if they get it I wish them all the luck.
“It’s going to be tough for them, but fingers crossed they do the right thing for Chelsea.”
