CHELSEA cult hero Pat Nevin believes the idea of joining Manchester United will always retain an appeal for Cole Palmer, although he he also admitted that the Blues attacker is years and years away from that potential move

Since making the decision to leave Manchester City and make the move to the club just a few seasons ago, Cole Palmer has developed into one of the most dangerous players in the Premier League, and one of the best.

His performances for the club over the past few seasons now means that he is the man at Stamford Bridge, mainly down to the fact that he already has over 50 goal contributions for the Blues since his arrival from City.

However – in a shock statement from Nevin, the Blues icon has come out and claimed that a move to Man United could interest Palmer in the future as the attacker is a known fan of the Red Devils: ‘Cole Palmer’s support for Manchester United is gone,’ Nevin told Grosvenor Sport.

‘It really has gone. Maybe some part of him might want to go there at the end of his career but that really won’t be in his mind.

‘There’s no way he’d want to leave a vibrant young team like CHELSEA for the current Manchester United, despite their good performance against Liverpool.

‘That move would be years and years away from even being considered and if Chelsea fans get worried they just need to look at his contract length.’
