Chelsea target Andre Onana has confirmed that he will be leaving Ajax at the end of the season.

There has been a lot of speculation in the media over the past few months which has suggested that Frank Lampard is keen to offload Spanish stopper Kepa in the summer after becoming frustrated at the young mans performances on a weekly basis.

And that has led to speculation in the media suggesting that Lampard is keen to add a new stopper to the side, with Ajax ace Onana on the shopping list of the boss after establishing himself as one of the best stoppers in Europe.

Onana helped Ajax reach the Champions League semi-finals last season and also helped the Dutch side regain their title after a few years of trying, and his performances caught the attentions of the legend

However, recent reports in the SUN claimed that we are looking to try and convince the Ajax stopper to leave in the summer and come to the Premier League, with reports suggesting that we believe a fee of around 325 million could be enough to convince Ajax to sell on.

Now, amid the rumours, Onana has now made it clear that he intends to be the next big name to secure a move away from Ajax, having attracted interest from Chelsea, Barcelona and Tottenham.

‘Don’t get me wrong, I am very happy with Ajax and I am very grateful to the club,’ Onana told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

‘It was five great years here, but now my time has come to take a step. ‘I don’t yet know what will happen, but my ambitions and agreements are clear.’
