Inter striker Lautaro Martinez says he does not know what the future holds, with the likes of Chelsea linked with the forward.
during the course of the transfer window, Frank Lampard was heavily linked with a transfer move for the Argentine striker, as he needed to add a proven forward to this attack, but that massive £85 million price tag put the club off.
That meant that we splashed just £54 million to land Timo Werner, a player that netted 34 goals for RB Leipzig last season and is easily regarded as one of the finest young strikers in the game right now.
But if his move fails to give the club the goals that they deserve, then there has been some speculation in the media that a move for Lautaro could be on the cards for Frank Lampard, although they face a tough challenge in the form of Barcelona.
Martinez has gone on to score three goals in his first five Serie A matches of the season and, when asked about his future, the 23-year-old forward says he is only concerned with shining at Inter.
“I work every day to improve. Today I am an Inter player and I want to do the best of the team,” Lautaro was quoted on Tuttosport
“I’m happy, we work every day, we want to win and to bring Inter as high as possible. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, today I can say that I am at Inter and that I’m happy.”
“I thank the fans for all their affection,” he added. “The same goes for all the people who work for the club and who have always been close to me.”
If he comes onto the market, it would be a massive shock to see him make the move to the Bridge
