Exciting Olise sent transfer message with Chelsea looking to make January swoop?

Former Premier League striker Kevin Phillips thinks January Chelsea target Michael Olise should stay at Reading for the rest of the season.

It is no secret that we are still eyeing up some of the best talents in world football and have been keeping a close eye on the performances of Olise, who is making a real name for himself over at Reading.

19-year-old Olise, who has four goals and seven assists this campaign, is also a target for Leeds and Liverpool, but Kevin Phillips has opened up and urged the young man to consider staying put for now, amid interest from the club

He told Football Insider: “He should stay at Reading for the rest of the season. Stay and help get your club promoted”

“Why would you leave? He is playing week in, week out. Is he going to play at Leeds? Probably not.

“He may come off the bench and start the odd game but it would disrupt his development.”

Olise is a very gifted young man that is developing very nicely right now, so if we do make a transfer move in the January window, he does not need to make a transfer move, he is not ready to make any sort of impact on this squad right now.
