Chelsea officially announces very late deadline day transfer deal all done!
CHELSEA goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic has completed a season-long loan move to Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg – the Blues have announced on the club website on deadline day.
After making the move to the Premier League last season – Petrovic enjoyed a decent season at Stamford Bridge – but didnt really make the impact that many had hoped for.
The club have once again been very active in the transfer market this summer and added a few stoppers to the side, most noticeably Filip Jorgensen, meaning that Petrovic has fallen further down the pecking order at the club.
Strasbourg have been given alot of players over the past few months from us and now they have completed another loan deal after Petrovic made the move to Ligue 1 on deadline day
The Blues posted: ‘Djordje joined the Blues last summer from New England Revolution and made 31 appearances, including a start in the Carabao Cup final, during his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge.
‘The 24-year-old will now continue his development in the French top flight. We look forward to supporting and monitoring Djordje throughout his loan spell.
‘Good luck, Djordje!’

We are very sad to see that Petrovic has had to leave the club in order to get some much needed game time – but this is probably the right decision as the man wants to play – he should get the minutes that he desires at the French side.
This is another good bit of business from the Blues board that is for sure.
