Chelsea OFFICIALLY announce and confirms signing of English attacker

CHELSEA is pleased to announce the signing of Jesse Derry, with the 18-year-old agreeing a contract with the Blues until 2029, after the Blues convinced the young man to make the move from Crystal Palace.

After a very impressive season last year under Enzo Maresca, and then adding the club world cup to the cabinet this summer, Chelsea have been spending some big money to help improve the squad.

Maresca already has one of the biggest squads in the Premier League, but with Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal all improving the side, the players that Chelsea have signed have all been pretty impressive.

But they are also still keen on adding some young players to the squad and they have now completed the signing of Derry – Chelsea posted: ‘An England Under-19 international, Derry arrives at Stamford Bridge from Premier League side Crystal Palace.

‘Derry made his Under-18s debut for the Eagles while still a schoolboy – and was named Palace’s Under-18s Player of the Season at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

‘Last term, he featured for Palace’s Under-18s and made the step up to Under-21s football.

‘He also represented England at this summer’s UEFA European Under-19 Championship.

‘Welcome to CHELSEA, Jesse!’

Look, we dont know much about the lad, how talented he is, but this is a big decision to make and hopefully he is not just joining the club because we offered a bigger contract than what Pace did.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the lad though
