Board offer powerhouse massive £8.5M-a-year contract to join Chelsea

Chelsea have launched a bid for Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly and have even offered him a big contract

It is no secret that Thomas Tuchel could be losing a whole host of defenders at the end of the season as a number of stars are out of contract, meaning that the German will need to bring in a few more players

And Koulibaly is a name that many  fans are familiar with, as the club have been linked with a move for the powerhouse for the last few seasons and are still interested in getting a deal done

Now According to newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport – Chelsea have made their moves to try and convince the powerhouse that a move to Stamford Bridge would be the next step in his career.

The reports add that we have offered the 30-year-old personal terms worth £8.5m-a-year – and That works out at just over £160k-a-week.

Napoli though are claimed to be demanding £34m for their star centre-back But the club knows that the Serie A outfit could be forced into a sale this summer with just 12 months left to run on Koulibaly’s current contract.

Barcelona are also understood to be interested in a swoop for the Senegalese international.

Koulibaly is a man that is made for the Premier League and this may be his chance to prove himself in the English game – so if the reports are true – he could be a great partner for Thiago Silva
