Chelsea told they can sign superstar for just £68 million as Madrid exit wanted

Chelsea are looking to win the race for Saul Niguez as Atletico Madrid lower their asking price to £68million.
Saul won his first La Liga title with Atletico this season, but his involvement significantly decreased compared to past seasons. In the previous three campaigns, he made at least 30 league starts as Atletico finished second in both 2018 and 2019 and third in 2020.
However, in 2020/21, he made just 22 starts as Simeone led the club to its first Spanish title win in seven years, and His drop down the pecking order has reportedly resulted in him desiring a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano in the upcoming transfer window.
And According to of Mundo Deportivo, Saul is ‘determined’ to part ways with Atletico this summer, with the club now ready to try and make a transfer move.
Saul has a £129million (€150m) release clause in his Atletico contract, but with the deal expiring in 2026, the club would accept an offer worth around £69m (€80m), the reports claims
Niguez is a very special player that would be a world class signing for the club if we were to step up their chase in the transfer window to try and get some sort of transfer deal done.
Not many players want to leave Madrid, so the club would have to offer something special to get a deal done, but he would be worth the money guys
We would love him to make a move to the Bridge, and are hoping that these reports in the media are true
