Ajax star ‘invites’ Chelsea offer and Real Madrid to sell Asensio in summer clear-out?
Ajax star David Neres has issued a come-and-get-me plea to the likes of Chelsea.
We seeking to get back into the habit of winning trophies, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has been eyeing up a number of possible deals for players that will improve the side, with a winger high up on the shopping list.
And While Neres was coy over his future, he admitted he would love a move to England’s top flight, inviting a bid from the club.
‘Of course the Premier League interests me,’ he told the Liverpool Echo.
‘It’s the best league in the world, and I’ve always wanted to play there. But I leave all that in God’s hands.
‘I try to stay focused on what’s happening on the pitch, and on the competition I’m playing in. I leave those things to my agents to deal with.’
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are ready to cash in on target Marcos Asensio this transfer window.
Asensio, 23, has struggled to break into the Madrid side this season and has only managed six goals in 44 appearances in all competitions, with most of his appearances coming from the Bench.
And it has been claimed that he is ready to seek a fresh challenge this summer, with the Premier League high up on his list of possible destinations.
Now reports on Spanish publication AS has claimed that Madrid will now seek to offload Asensio and another of other transfer targets in the coming months to raise funds and carry on the rebuilding process at the Bernabeu.
Madrid have already spent around £190million on Luka Jovic, Eden Hazard and Ferland Mendy and are keen to add more players, meaning that a number of players will have to be sold in the coming weeks.
It is believed the Spanish giants are keen to sell a number of players this summer, with an estimated £250 million worth of talent all set to be finding new clubs.[the_ad id=”164″]
