Chelsea fans will love what Lionel Messi has said about midfielder Mason Mount
Lionel Messi has revealed Chelsea playmaker Mason Mount to be among his 15 stars of the future.
Frank Lampard has been unable to acquire any players over the last few transfer windows, as the ban stopped them from doing any deal, as the hierarchy did not want to spend any serious money in the January window, but the Blues legend has done a wonderful job back at the club that he loves, and has also been able to hand some of the most exciting talents in England a chance to shine and prove themselves, like Mount.
He has become an integral part of chase for a top four spot, and his performances have also meant that he is a full England International that has the potential to go to the European Championships next summer.
Now the youngster stands alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, Jadon Sancho and Phil Foden as four English players predicted to succeed by Messi, after he was asked to come up with the prodigies he believes are the next generation of global icons.
The Barcelona hero named 15 starlets for a Topps ‘Lionel Messi Designed Set’ card pack, as the limited edition set was completely designed and selected by the Argentina star, and his choices are further evidence that the game is starting to take note of the talent coming through in England.
On Mount, Messi declared on the SUN: “Having watched him play he has the potential to be one of the best.”
Mount has been an incredible find for us this season and he is part of the reason why we have been so exciting and entertaining to watch under Lampard this season, and it is a testament to his ability that Messi rates him so highly.
So hopefully he goes on to become a star f the game
