Manchester United have entered the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic, as Chelsea seek to get a deal done.
The highly-rated American International is one of the most excitingly gifted players in Europe right now and has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as a possible long-term replacement for star man Eden Hazard, who could be leaving the club at the end of this season.
As we all know, and as the media keep speculating, Hazard is eyeing up a £200 million move to Real Madrid in the summer as he believes that staying here in the Premier league will not give him the opportunity to win the Champions League or pick up the title of the worlds best player, which has been held by Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi for the past decade.
And although there has been rumours that Maurizio Sarri is convinced Hazard will reject a move away and sign a massive contract to stay with the club, we have already begun looking for possible replacements for the Belgian winger, and one name that has been on the list for a while is that of Pulisic.
Pulisic is only 20-years of age and already one of the most creative players in the Bundesliga, helping Borussia Dortmund to top spot this season with a number of impressive performances, and the German giants are now ready to cash in and get the maximum amount of money.
But we will now have to fend off the interested of United boss Jose Mourinho, according to German website Bild, who claim the Red Devils are now ready to swoop in and nail down the 20-year old for the £50m he is currently going for.
With Alexis Sanchez not performing, Anthony Martial too inconsistent and Marcus Rashford cutting a frustrated figure, the special one is desperate to add a bit more creativity and quality to his wings.
Would Pulisic really chose United over Stamford Bridge?
United have a great history, there is no doubt about that, But under the guidance of Jose Mourinho they do not have much of a future as the special one is playing the kind of football that most players do not want too, especially exciting talents like Pulisic.
So if he does have the choice to sign for us over United, then it is an easy one as Stamford Bridge is a more tantalising opportunity than the one at Old Trafford.
