Chelsea make late signing – Striker welcomes after summer move – Blues part of most shock transfer move of summer
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that you could have missed…
CHELSEA winger Raheem Sterling has completed a season-long loan move to Arsenal – which came as one of the biggest transfer shocks of the summer when it emerged that Arsenal were interested.
After being dropped by Enzo Maresca for the opening game of the season against Man City, then having his shirt number taken off him and then dropped from the squad completely – there has been alot of speculation about Sterling.
Then news broke on deadline day that Arsenal were working on a deal to sign the winger and after a few hours of rumours and talks – it was announced by the club that Sterling has joined the Gunners on loan for the season.
CHELSEA posted on the cub website: ‘Raheem joined the Blues from Manchester City in the summer of 2022 and has scored 19 goals across 81 appearances.
‘He will now spend the remainder of the campaign at the Emirates. Good luck, Raheem.’

The fact that there was such a short statement from the club just showed how much disrespect they had for a player that has achieved so much in the game – it is a shame that he has left.
But we are just hoping that he is as inconsistent as he has been for the club since his move from Man City, they are now paying some of that massive £325k-a-week wages, which is another bonus.
But one thing is worrying, another proven player has left the club.
JADON SANCO JOINS –
Manchester United star Jadon Sancho has completed his much talked about move to CHELSEA after the Blues made a very late move to sign the attacker on deadline day.
Sancho is one of the players that has been talked about all summer long after his falling out with Erik Ten Hag towards the back end of last summer and the Red Devils have been trying to get rid of the player for a while now.
He has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, has been tipped for a move Arsenal and Juventus, but nobody wanted to pay his high asking price and he has had to wait until the deadline day to complete his move away from the club.
He has now joined the club from Man United and the deal includes an obligation to buy the winger.
Michael Owen recently gave his verdict on the attacker: “Jadon Sancho took a really risky move in many ways but almost an unavoidable one in going back to where he was to try to reignite that spark, and he’s done particularly well,” he told Prime Casino.
“I’m sure he probably would have preferred there to have been a change of manager at Old Trafford so it was a clean slate and he could come back and hopefully start again.
“I don’t know what his future holds, but he’s certainly gone away and proven that he can still cut it at the top level.”

All i can say is that if we get the winger back to his best – he will be a quality signing.
BROJA WELCOMED AFTER SUMMER MOVE –
CHELSEA confirmed late on deadline day that Armando Broja has left the club and join Everton on a season long-loan.
The club posted on the club website: ‘Armando made 19 appearances across all competitions for the Blues last term, scoring once in the Premier League and adding a further strike in an FA Cup win over Preston North End.
‘The Albanian international will now continue his development at Goodison Park.
‘Good luck, Armando!’
After completing the loan capture of Broja, Everton’s Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell, said: “Having monitored Armando’s journey for a number of years, we’re very pleased to have been able to bring him to the Club.
“Armando is still a young player who has already built up some impressive experience but someone we also feel has lots more potential to be unlocked.
“First and foremost, we will work with him to get him fit as soon as possible. Then, his addition will strengthen our options in the attacking department.”

Broja is a player that needed to leave Stamford Bridge – sitting on the bench of playing down in the reserves is not what the player needs – so this move to Everton should be a good one as he will get some game time.
We wish him all the best and hope to see him get back to his goal-scoring self
