CHELSEA have made moves to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak, who has constantly been linked with a move away from the Toon ever since the summer window.

We were interested in signing another striker to provide cover and competition for Nicolas Jackson and continue to be linked with Victor Osimhen, but a deal for the Nigerian never happened during the summer window and he made the move to Turkish football.

Alexander Isak has a similar price tag of £115 million and despite the fact that Newcastle have no intention of letting their star man leave, there is still alot of speculation about where he could end up in the coming windows.

Now TEAMtalk has linked the club with Newcastle striker Alexander Isak and stated that they have ‘made enquiries’ to land the Swedish international next year. It is speculated that the Magpies could be prepared to cash-in on the former Real Sociedad marksman, but only for the right price.

Reporter Iomie Stanley has recently urged the big man to join a big club like Chelsea, he said: ‘He has these super top qualities that big clubs might look for.

‘I really hope he can take the next step. Newcastle is a good club. There is nothing wrong with that, But at some point he needs to go to Arsenal, CHELSEA or Man City where he can pour in goals. That’s what his agent must be hoping for,.’

‘Chelsea have Nicolas Jackson, but Isak could make such a difference in that Blues side.
