Chelsea make contact in bid to land exciting Ligue 1 star
Chelsea have reportedly made an ‘enquiry’ for the services of Lille striker and Arsenal target Jonathan David.
Both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner are struggling for goals as of late, with both not being able to adapt to the way that Thomas Tuchel likes to play the game.
And that has led to many reports in the media over the past few weeks which have suggested that the German would like to delve into that transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad by the end of the window.
And even though we have not been able to sign any players just yet, there is now reports in the media that the club are interested in acquiring the services of David, and have already made contact in a bid to get a deal done.
The 21-year-old forward has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks.
David is expected to leave Lille at the end of the season, and has attracted plenty of attention with his performances.

Timo Werner and Lukaku are two of the most deadly strikers in the game, and together, they should be firing us to all sorts of titles, but they cannot, and it is strange to see them struggling so much.
If Tuchel can get them working together, they will be formidable, but he has a time-limit as Roman Abramovic wants results and trophies, meaning that Tuchel would probably need to buy his way out of trouble.
But even though David is a very good and exciting talent, he is not the player that would make the impact at the club that many would like, and spending £60 million to wrap up a deal would be more waste of money
Tuchel needs to figure out how to get the best out of Lukaku and Werner, that is the path to success.
