CHELSEA have made a formal €60m offer to AC Milan for Mike Maignan.

We now have a new manager after they confirmed that Mauricio Pochettino has agreed to move to the club

And it is no secret that the club are worried about the goalkeeper situation, with Edouard Mendy linked with a move away from the club and Kepa a man that is too inconsistent to be the regular number one.

And that has led to reports in the media that they are very much interested in signing Milan star Maignan – who has been impressing the scouts.

According to Milan expert Alessandro Carra, who told Calciomercato.it’s TV PLAY that the club could make an effort to snatch the Frenchman away from the Rossoneri in the summer.

“The big problem is Maignan, his social media release was cryptic. He has a three-year contract but he’s the only one of the big names who hasn’t renewed. For about 10 days Maldini had been starting to talk about this renewal. Maldini represented a guarantee,” he said.

CHELSEA and Manchester United are looking for a goalkeeper and have offered the player €8m a year [deal].”

Maignan is a very impressive stopper that has been very good this season – but is he really better than what the club have at the club? Is he really worth the £60 million that is being talked about.

There are better stoppers out there – and we are hoping that this is not the man that the club believe will stop goals going in.
