Chelsea on full alert after Lampard told Premier League star ‘good enough for big move’
Chelsea target James Maddison is now good enough for ANY of the Premier League giants, according to his old manager.
But there has been a lot of speculation in the media that Willian may be leaving the club, despite the fact that he has admitted on numerous occasions that he is keen to stay in London, Meaning that Lampard will need to find an adequate replacement for the Brazilian star.
Maddison has been making all the right noises in the Premier League over the past few seasons and his performances have led to a lot of transfer speculation that the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham were interested in a summer transfer deal.
His creativity, quality and ability to play that killer pass on a weekly basis is the main reason why Jamie Vardy is once again banging in the goals for Leicester, and without him in the heart of midfield, Brendan Rodgers men would not be challenging for a Champions League place.
Yes there is some talk in the media that Leicester want Maddison to sign a new deal, but nothing is concrete just yet and money talks, meaning the right offer in the summer would open the door for us to make a move
Now Aberdeen’s Derek McInnes told the Press and Journal: “I always thought James was the best technician of a ball I’ve seen. I haven’t seen someone who manipulates the ball in the way he can and that potential is really being realised now.
“James has said that coming to Aberdeen (loan) has helped be the making of him because he had to grow up a bit. He had to tough things out and he had to learn how to deal with the demands of playing here. He was developing then and the games up here were tough for him.
‘But you see him now, he has developed so much that I think he could play for any of the big clubs in England. That’s how good he is. ‘The improvement in him over the last two seasons especially has been massive and it shows what can be done.”
