Inter Milan’s president Steven Zhang has reportedly flown in to Italy this week to discuss the future of Chelsea’s top summer target Romelu Lukaku.

Thomas Tuchel is a man that knows he needs to improve certain areas of the pitch in the coming transfer window to turn this side into Premier League winners.

And with the likes of Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud all failing to impress in front of goal this season, It is pretty clear that the German coach wants to add a premium striker to the attack.

Erling Haaland has been the name most linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as the young man has become one of the most sought after players in world football, but the club will face strong competition from several rivals across Europe including Real Madrid and Manchester City.

And according to recent reports, the club now view Lukaku as the ‘most achievable’ target for the upcoming window and are now accelerating plans to re-sign the Belgium international.

However, Zhang has arrived to hold talks this week over the futures of Lukaku and head coach Antonio Conte, according to the Daily Mail.

Lukaku, 27, has been a massive hit in Italy, scoring 61 times in 91 games for Inter, who are currently on course to secure their first Serie A title since 2010, and his record on the international stage is equally impressive with 58 goals in 90 appearances for FIFA’s top-ranked country.

Lukaku is world class as we have just said, but it would be a massive shock to see him back at the club next season when he is enjoying his time over in Italian football, why would he want to leave?
