Brazilian Luiz opens up and tells Chelsea ‘i love this club’ and ‘i want to stay’

Chelsea star David Luiz has he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge, but is no closer to signing a new contract with the club.
The Brazilian is out of contract at the end of the season and has been an integral part of the Blues side this season, as boss Maurizio Sarri has reignited the South American’s love for the club.
But despite being an integral part of the side this season under Sarri, reports in the media have claimed Luiz is unhappy with the clubs policy of only issuing one-year extensions to players over 30 and wants a contract longer in length if he’s to pen a new deal.
And although we are unlikely to change their policies for Luiz, he has admitted that he is very happy at the club and would love to stay at Stamford Bridge.
‘We are still talking, let’s see. Let’s see what the future brings,’ said Luiz on the Sky Sports website.
‘I love this club, everybody knows I want to stay.’
[the_ad id=”11379″]Does Luiz deserve a longer contract to stay at Chelsea?
Luiz has been up and down this season, much like his career at Stamford Bridge and he is far too unreliable to be the clubs main centre-back for the next few seasons. So even though he wants a contract longer than a season, it may be the best offer he gets right now.
There is a lot of speculation that we will be looking to splash the cash and bring in a fresher, younger and more reliable defensively minded defender meaning Luiz will not be needed as much.
