Chelsea linked Robert Lewandowski heading to the Premier League?
If Bayern Munich sell striker Robert Lewandowski this summer, it would be to a Premier League club, which will alert the likes of Chelsea.
It is no secret that boss Thomas Tuchel is lacking a goal-scorer up top that has the ability to find the net on a regular basis, as Timo Werner has not scored the goals that many had hoped for.
And with reports suggesting that Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud may depart the club at the end of the season, there has been a whole list of players already linked with a move to the Premier League giants, and Lewandowksi is one of them.
The 32-year-old remains one of the deadliest goalscorers in the world, netting 36 goals in the Bundesliga in just 26 appearances this campaign while also carrying a heavy workload in the Champions League.
Lewandowski’s current Bayern contract runs until 2023, but his agent is pushing for a renewal to be agreed for him to stay at Bayern for the next few seasons, but no deal has been sorted just yet.
But despite the speculation that he could end up in France or La Liga, Lewandowski’s next destination might be in England, as SportBild claims the striker’s agent will apply pressure on Bayern Munich to either put together a lucrative contract extension or sell him to a team that can afford his wages, likely in the Premier League.
There are only a handful of clubs in world football that would be able to pay his wages right now, most of them in the Premier League, so if he does leave Bayern in the summer, there will surely be a big scramble to get his services signed.
