Chelsea target Lewandowski opens up on possible exit from Bayern Munich

Robert Lewandowski has admitted that he is ‘very happy; at Bayern Munich, despite the rumours that Chelsea are lining up a £100 million move.

With the January transfer window just around the corner and speculation about who Maurizio Sarri is likely to bring in, there has been some reports in the media lately which claim that a move for Lewandowski could on the cards with the Polish forward seemingly unhappy at Bayern.

Lewandowski shocked the club in May when his agent Pini Zahavi revealed the Poland star’s desire to seek “a new challenge”, after dominating the Bundesliga over and over again, suggesting that a move away from the European Giants would be on the cards in the coming windows

But now the Polish star, who has won eight titles in four years with Bayern, has committed himself to the club, telling Bild: “I definitely feel very happy and well in Munich.

“I do my best for the team to win. But it’s still about the team, because everyone works hard for success here. It’s not just me, not just Robert Lewandowski.”

Will Lewandowski ever grace the Premier League?

Lewandowski is now coming to the back end of his illustrious career and a move to the Premier League would not benefit us, or the player himself so the fact that he now admits how happy he is at the club just shows the interest levels from chasing clubs has virtually gone and he has no options out there, especially for the £170 million asking price.

So even though he would have been a world class buy, I would much prefer we went out and found a striker that would be at the club for the next five, six or even seven seasons, rather than one that will score a few goals for the next two.

There are so many forwards out there but our choice is Genoa ace Krzysztof Piatek, who is only 23-years of age and scoring goals for fun over in Italian League.
