Tuchel told to complete deal and bring £600,000-a-week superstar to Chelsea
Former Chelsea ace Glen Johnson advised his former club to try and beat Barcelona for Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski.
After another stunning season in which he broke the 40-goal mark and helped Bayern to another League title – Lewandowski shocked the world when he confirmed that he would not be signing a new contract with the Germans
It is believed that Bayern do not want to pay him the kind of wages that he desires – around the £600,000-a-week mark – and have given up hope of keeping hold – so have decided that they will allow him to leave for a fee this summer – rather than nothing next summer
That has led to alot of speculation that the likes of Chelsea – Barcelona – Man United and even Liverpool have all been linked with a move – although the Spaniards are reportedly leading the chase for the striker
However – amid all the speculation surrounding the future of the striker – Johnson has come out and encouraged his former club to sign the great man – Johnson told Betting Odds: “In terms of the player himself, then yes. But business-wise, what that might do to [Romelu] Lukaku, if he’s not playing where’s he going to go, how much is he going to be worth.
“They bought him for an awful lot of money. But at the same time, if they give him another six months and he doesn’t perform, then they might miss out on the top four. It’s a tough one.
“While Lewandowski is available on the free, I think you have to try and sign him.”
How good would he be here?
