Chelsea star Eden Hazard has dropped the first hint for a while that he could leave Stamford Bridge next summer, with his contract at Stamford Bridge up in 2020.
Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for the past 12 months with the Spaniards keen to add him to the starting line-up for next season, as they sold Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer transfer window and failed to bring in any sort of replacement.
But it is widely expected that they will make a whopping £200m move for Hazard, knowing the winger believes a move to La Liga will take his game to the next level.
And he told French TV channel Canal Plus that he could in fact leave the club at the end of the season, stating: “I have one year left in June. If I don’t extend, it (a move) is possible.
“I can’t see myself leaving in January. I wouldn’t do that to the club, to the fans. Next summer it’s a possibility, but it’s also possible that I spend the rest of my career at Chelsea.”
Who could replace Hazard here at Stamford Bridge?
There have been a number of players linked with a move to Stamford Bridge if Hazard leaves but we will need to splash the cash and land either Neymar, Gareth Bale, or Kylian Mbappe, who are three of the most excitingly gifted players in world football right now.
They all create and add goals to any attack they are put in, and are the kind of superstar players that could win a game in the blink of an eye, something Hazard is also able to do.
