Ferdinand sends Lampard message ahead of Chelsea move and United told to sign £100m star from Blues
Rio Ferdinand has told Frank Lampard to take over the post at Chelsea this summer.
We are set to accelerate their talks with Lampard in the coming days following Maurizio Sarri’s switch to Juventus, with report in the media suggesting that talks are at a deep stage.
And after Drogba pretty much confirmed that Lampard was closing in on a deal for Lampard, Ferdinand has urged his former rival to make that move to Stamford Bridge.
‘They should do it! I think he will get it,’ the former Manchester United defender said on Drogba’s Instagram story.

‘Frank, take the job man. Take it, Chelsea need you. I don’t care, he’s my friend. He should get the job, he deserves it.’
Meanwhile,Stan Collymore has backed Manchester United to sign N’Golo Kante and if Paul Pogba leaves the club this summer.
Barcelona and PSG have been chasing the world cup winner for some time now, with reports suggesting that they are both prepared to pay around £100 million to get a transfer deal done.
United will be in the market for a holding midfielder if Pogba leaves the club for a return to Juventus or a move to Madrid, and Collymore has backed the club to make a move for Kante, or Declan Rice as a replacement for Pogba.
Stan Collymore wrote in his Mirror column: “Ed Woodward clearly doesn’t want to allow Pogba – the jewel in his crown – to leave United this summer and we will have to wait and see if Real Madrid or Juventus can match the minimum £150million United would want.
“So, if he does end up staying, United ought to be trying to sign two players to set him free.
