Wise opens up on possible Lampard return and Allegri opens up on possibly signing for Chelsea
Juventus coach Max Allegri has suggested that he will not be signing for Chelsea this summer as the replacement for Maurizio Sarri.
Sarri feels he can leave with his head held high after winning the Europa League and qualifying for the Champions League, two things which he was brought in to try and accomplish at the club, but his departure from the club opened the door for us to seal a deal for Allegri, who is very keen on a move to the premier League.
However, Speaking to Castello Sforzesco in Milan, he said: “I will stay [away] for a year because I have to get back my private life, to find my family, children and friends after so many years.
“These last 16 years I have been in a centrifuge.
“I will give my family, children and friends some affection.
“This year, I will need this [time off] in order to recharge my batteries for the next season.”
Meanwhile, Dennis Wise has urged Frank Lampard to snub a move back to the Blues and stay at Derby.
Sarri never felt comfortable living and working in England and has been tempted back to his homeland with a move to Juventus, who has decided to part ways with boss Max Allegri, despite the Italian boss bringing back another Seria A title.
But his departure from the club opened the door for Lampard, who has been impressing at Derby this season.
But Blues legend Wise argues it’s too soon for his former team-mate to take such a huge step.
“I’m surprised, if I’m being honest,” Wise said to talkSPORT on Lampard’s links with the Blues.
“He did a good job getting them [Derby] into the play-offs. But getting to the play-off final and not going up isn’t good enough.
“In the last five seasons, they’ve been in the play-offs three times. It’s something they’ve done before.
“I think it would be good if he stays there. The expectation at Derby is to try and get them into the play-offs and get them up.
“The expectation of Chelsea is to get into the Champions League and try to win trophies against the best teams.
“That’s a big jump from Derby to Chelsea if it happens.”
