Napoli are insisting on receiving their £100million asking price in full if they are to sell Kalidou Koulibaly to the likes of Chelsea this summer.
We have been in the transfer headlines alot of the past few months as all indications suggest that boss Frank Lampard is keen to delve into that transfer kitty in the summer and improve his back-line.
And one name that is high up on the shopping list is that of Kouliably, who is easily regarded as one of the finest central defenders in Seria A, and around Europe.
However, he will not come cheap this summer window and wewould have to break the transfer record for a defender and pay around £100 million to secure the transfer deal for Koulibaly.
Napoli’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli said: “Kalidou is a great player, who still has a long contract with us.
“If we were to sell, the club could ask for a large sum.
“A player like this cannot change his value even in a crisis, so we are not moving our valuation.”
Look, Koulibaly is one of the best defenders in the game right now and is only a handful of players that is even worth close to that £100 million mark. so even though it is alot of money to pay for the powerhouse, it is the kind of deal that we are keen on.
Lampard has proven already that he is looking to sign top-class players and right now there are not too many defenders out there that are better than this man, that £100 million would be paid back over the seasons.
If we want to be the best again, then we need to sign the best and Koulibaly is the answer to alot of our defensive problems at the back.
