Barcelona legend Andreas Iniesta has admitted that Chelsea star N’Golo Kante in the centre-piece of Maurizio Sarri’s side.
Since his move to Stamford Bridge a few seasons ago, Kante has transformed into the best midfielder in world football and is arguably one of the most important players at the club, protecting the back-line but also having a big influence on the attacking side of the side.
He has been linked with a potential move to PSG in the coming transfer windows, with reports the French giants are preparing a massive £150 million offer to try and prise him away from the club, even though he has admitted on numerous occasions that he is happy at Stamford Bridge.
And Iniesta admits he’s a huge fan of the midfielder, telling the RMC website: ‘He’s a player I’d like to have had in my team for many years.
‘He’s not going to come to Japan, but he’s definitely a player I love because of the work he does on the field and the confidence he has in his game. His mastery makes him the centrepiece of Chelsea and the France national team.’
We agree, any player would love to play with Kante.
There are only a handful of players in world football that can walk into any side in Europe and command respect, and Kante is definitely one of those players. He is not a big talker, but the man is such a hard-worker and give everything for the side.
He very rarely has an off game and even though he is playing out of position this year under Sarri, he is still having an unbelievable start to the new season as we continue winning and picking up good results.
So even though PSG have the money to acquire his services, the likes of Eden Hazard, Jorginho and Willian love playing next to the Frenchman, so I doubt he will be going anywhere anytime soon.
