Chelsea star Jorginho’s future at Stamford Bridge has been plunged into doubt as his agent admits he’d be up for a “dream” Serie A return, amid all the uncertainty surrounding the Premier League giants right now

Jorginho has enjoyed a superb couple of years for club and country, starring in Chelsea’s Champions League win and Italy’s European Championships triumph in 2021, with his performances earning him a Ballon d’Or nomination.

However, there has been alot of speculation that he could depart the club at the end of the season, and a move back to Italy has been mooted for the midfielder, meaning that Thomas Tuchel would need an immediate replacement.

Now, The midfielder’s representative Joao Santos specified his client could go to “AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma or Napoli” and admitted he also held talks with Paris Saint-Germain as well as Barcelona.

Santos told Tuttomercatoweb, as per Football Italia: “Playing in Serie A is a dream for him and his heart remains here.

“As things stand today, he could play for four or five clubs: Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma or Napoli.”

And if he does leave, it could mean that Chelsea would step up their chase to try and sign Declan Rice, who according to Glen Johnson, would be the ideal replacement for the Italian star.

‘If Chelsea don’t sign him, then someone else will,’ Johnson recently told ‘It’s one of those situations – he’s either going to your rivals or he’s coming to you.

‘It looks unlikely that he’ll stay at West Ham but it’ll work out either way because if he stays then West Ham keep a world-class player, and if he goes they’ll get a fortune for him.

‘He’s a class act, on and off the pitch. He’s still a young guy, still learning his trade, but I think the way he handles himself is not fake, it’s authentic.

‘He’s clearly a lovely guy. I think the more characters we have like that knocking around for England, the better.’

Asked who Rice could replace at Chelsea, Johnson added: ‘I’d probably say Jorginho.

‘I think that’s a bit harsh because I’m a big fan of Jorginho but I think if Rice came in with fresh legs and can motor around the park then Jorginho would probably be the one that’s sacrificed.

‘Hopefully Jorginho doesn’t leave because he’s a great player, but he’s probably the one that I think would drop out of the starting line-up if it was to happen.’
