Chelsea have inquired about the availability of midfielder Jonas Hofmann.
Former Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has enjoyed a stunning start to life in the Stamford Bridge hot-seat considering they languished in tenth upon his arrival., and he is on the verge of getting the club Champions League football next season.
But he knows that he still has work to do to get this side good enough to dominate both Europe and the English game, and according to reports on the BILD website, he is looking into trying to acquire the services of Hofmann.
The report claims that we are one of a number of English clubs to enquire about the German international, who is rumoured to be open to the idea of playing abroad.
Given Hofmann’s contract does not expire until 2023, his current side are hardly in a position where they are forced to sell and as a result the club may have to part ways with a considerable amount of cash to sign the talent, who has no release clause in his current deal
It is believed that we would have to part with a massive £60 million to get a deal done for the young man.
Look, we all know that we have one of the best squads in Europe right now and only need a few players to turn them into real contenders next season, so if they do get Hofmann, he would be a very good addition to the squad.
