Witsel wants to see Chelsea Hazard deal get done as Sarri told Rodriguez has asked to leave Bayern

James Rodriguez will leave Bayern Munich on June 30, after asking the German club to not take up the option to sign him permanently from Real Madrid.

We are still lining up a number of possible transfer targets to help fill the void that Eden Hazard will leave when he officially departs the club.

And his departure will mean that we will need to sign a ‘superstar replacement’ in over the next few transfer windows, as Callum Hudson-odoi is not ready to fill the boots of Hazard and Christian Pulisic will need time to adapt to the Premier League.

And we have been handed a massive boost after James told the German club that he wants to leave this summer,  and the Premier League could be his next destination.

“[Rodriguez] asked Bayern not to take up the contractually agreed purchase option with Real. This wish was met the Bayern,” Bayern confirmed in a statement on their website.

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard deserves his chance to play for Real Madrid, says Belgium team-mate Axel Witsel.

The Belgian superstar has already hinted that he has played his last game in a Blues shirt as he looks set to join the Madrid revolution this summer, with the Spanish giants looking to sign a number of top-class players over the next few weeks in order to get back challenging for the La Liga and Champions League titles.

And Hazard has become a top target for boss Zinedine Zidane, who is hoping that Madrid can complete a £115 million deal over the next few days.

Now Witsel, the International team-mate of Hazard, has opened up and admitted that he hopes that Hazard completes his move to Madrid.

“Of course [Hazard] is that good,” Witsel told Sky Sports News.

“Eden is the type of guy who is always relaxed. He doesn’t think too much (about his future). “He’s just come here today. We spoke about everything but not about a transfer to Real Madrid because that is just Eden.

“For me, as a player, he is one of the best with Cristiano [Ronaldo], [Lionel] Messi and Neymar.

“If he goes to Real Madrid – and I hope so for him – he is going to show that to everyone.”
