New Chelsea star told ‘to be more ruthless’ and he will bang in the goals

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has called on Nicolas Jackson to be more ruthless if he is to score goals for CHELSEA .

Jackson had an impressive season with Villareal last season which prompted the board to splash the cash and pay £34 million to bring him to Stamford Bridge in hope he could solve the clubs goal-scoring issues.

But so far this season he has been unable to make the impact that many had hoped for and in the last game against West Ham, gave up the chance to get his name on the score-sheet.

The Senegalese forward didn’t take the clubs penalty at West Ham last weekend that Enzo Fernandez missed, and Jimmy would like to see Jackson take that responsibility in the coming weeks

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “I would have loved to have seen Jackson take the penalty [against West Ham] to be honest because if he scores, that would give him a little bit of confidence and he would be off the mark.

But he has been impressed with what he’s seen from the new man, Hasselbaink added: “I’ve liked what I’ve seen. He led the line really well against Liverpool, he was a handful against West Ham.

“He just needs a little bit of help, but that also just takes time to get to know your teammates and for your teammates to know you.

“The Premier League is not an easy league. It’s the hardest league [and] it’s the best league. He’ll be fine.”
