Newcastle United should seriously consider selling Alexander Isak – a transfer target for CHELSEA – should a big money offer be made.

Speculation has mounted over a summer move for the Swedish forward due to Newcastle’s need to balance the books for Profit and Sustainability Rules reasons, and we are reportedly interested in a deal.

It was no secret that the club were keen on the man way before he made the move to Newcastle – and with Maurico Pochettino keen to add a new striker to that attack – Isak suits the style of the club.

Isak scored 10 goals in 27 games last season, firing his club to Champions League qualification and the Carabao Cup final, and has followed that up with 20 goals far his campaign.

But former Newcastle defender Jose Enrique has opened up and told his former club that they should sell Isak in the summer window should a big offer arrive from the likes of Arsenal or Tottenham.

‘The problem with Alexander Isak – and we’ve said this about him even when he was at Real Sociedad – is that he’s always injured,’ the former Liverpool left-back told Grosvenor Sport.

‘The way Newcastle want to play is with high intensity and pressing from the front and you can’t be expected to fulfil that if you’re getting three or four injuries every year. Callum Wilson has exactly the same problem by the way – he misses far too many games too.

‘If someone comes along and offers them the £70m that they spent to sign him in the first place then they need to think about it.’
