Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is the subject of intense interest from Chelsea ahead of the January transfer window.
It was no secret in the media that Frank Lampard was eager to bring in another stopper during the summer transfer window and was heavily linked with a move for the imposing Donnarumma in the transfer window.
However, his massive £60 million asking price meant that a move was never going to happen, and in the end, Lampard opted to make a move for Edouard Mendy after watching the stopper for a number of months before officially making the move.
However, with the club still looking to offload Kepa, there has been some speculation from Italy which have claimed that we are preparing to reignite their interest in the Italian stopper during the January transfer window.
According to Calcio Mercato, The Rossoneri are trying to tie the Italian shot-stopper down to a new contract, with his existing deal set to expire next summer, but we are waiting in the wings to swoop if Milan fail to tie him down to fresh terms.”
We done very well in the summer adding Mendy to the squad, he is solid. But at the end of the day Donnarumma is a next level stopper and the ideal man to come in and be the clubs number one for the next ten years.
If reports are true and we are keen on a transfer deal, he would be a world class signing for the club and one that would help us achieve our goal of winning that Premier League title back
