Italian opens up and announces Chelsea winning race to sign 16-goal midfielder

Chelsea are leading the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen talent Kai Havertz, reports claim.
Havertz is regarded as one of the finest talents in the game right now and has been constantly linked with a move to the Premier League at the end of the season, with the club just one of the clubs that are reportedly keen on a transfer deal.
The German has been impressive this season, scoring 16 goals and providing nine assists in 41 appearances, and it is widely expected that he takes that next step and make a move to a bigger club.
Various clubs have been linked but Italian journalist Nicolo Schira claims Frank Lampard’s side are at the front of the queue to sign the talented German.
It’s said the Blues transfer guru Marina Granovskaia, are ‘courting’ Havertz but face strong competition from Premier League rivals Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
“Chelsea still in the front row for Kai Havertz and continue to court him,” Schira tweeted. “Also Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Real Madrid are really interested in him, but Blues at the moment lead the race.”

Havertz is a brilliant signing that could be a great signing for the club, but with all the attacking quality at the side, do we really need the man this summer
I would much rather, right now, add another defender or two to the side, but we wouldnt turn down the opportunity to land one of the most exciting players in the game right now
