Talks planned as Chelsea hire super-agent Zahavi to get Fekir signed up

Superagent Pini Zahavi has been employed by Chelsea to try and get a deal wrapped up for Lyon star Nabil Fekir, L’Equipe reports.

Fekir very nearly signed for Liverpool last summer only for the deal to collapse with reports Jurgen Klopp was worried about the players long-standing knee injury.

Maurizio Sarri did not have enough time to complete all of his transfer deals in the summer as he arrived too late in the window, but he is expected to do some business in the January window and Fekir is high up on the shopping list according to many reports which are circulating.

And according to L’Equipe, we  have employed Zahavi to contact the representatives of Lyon and Fekir, in a bid to finally get the 25-year old Frenchman signed in a deal worth around £65 million.

The Frenchman recently fuelled speculation about a switch away from Lyon by admitting that he does not know if he will leave the French club in the coming transfer window, telling L’Equipe: “Am I leaving? No, not for now, but you never know in football,”

Would Fekir be a good buy by Mr Sarri?

We have one of the best and most creative attacks in the premier League, but Sarri needs to add something different and Fekir is definitely a player that can come in and create, as well as score after netting 21-goals for the French side last season.

But if we are to complete a potential deal, we would be very shocked to see a deal get done in January, as Lyon don’t want to let their best player leave half way through the season.
