Chelsea star Eden Hazard has admitted he does not want any regrets at the end of his career.

Hazard has been the subject of intense speculation for the last six months, as reports in the media have claimed Real Madrid are keen to acquire his services and take him to the Bernabeu in a deal that could be worth more than £200 million.

However, we are in no rush to let him leave without a fight and are reportedly ready to offer him a contract that will make him one of the highest paid players in the premier League, and easily the highest at Stamford Bridge,

Now Hazard has been speaking about his contract situation, and admits he does not any regrets when he retires.

He said on the Chelsea website: “The family is in London, I’m also going to be 28. I do not want to have any regrets at the end of my career.

“It’s a decision I’m going to make, I do not know when, but I’ll take it. You know me, I’ve always loved Real, even before (Zinedine) Zidane. We’ll see what happens.

“As I said, I’m already finishing this year with Chelsea, I still have a year of contract after this year.”

Could we convince Hazard to stay put next summer?

We are currently going through a number of changes at the club and will not be Champions League contenders for a good few seasons, and by that time, Hazard will be too old to fulfil his dream of winning the Ballon D’or title.

So if he stays at the club, we would need to convince him that he can fulfil his dreams here and not at Madrid.
